The requirements for membership are as follows:

 

As an undergraduate student:​

• Have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher

• Have completed at least 18 credits of collegiate course work

• Fill out the online chapter application

• Pay the first year's dues fee ($45 society + $16 chapter + $10 one-time initiation fee = $71 total)

• Participate in the Initiation Ceremony

• Be able to commit to at least two full semesters to KDP

As a graduate student:

• Have an overall grade point average of 3.25 or higher

• Fill out the online chapter application

• Pay the first year's dues fee ($45 society + $16 chapter + $10 one-time initiation fee = $71 total)

• Participate in the Initiation Ceremony

• Be able to commit to at least two full semesters to KDP

 

As a faculty member: 

• Demonstrate excellence and scholarship in your work

• Fill out the chapter application

• Pay the first year's dues fee ($45 society + $16 chapter + $10 one-time initiation fee = $71 total)

• Participate in the Initiation Ceremony

 

As a teacher:

• Demonstrate excellence and scholarship in your teaching

• Fill out the chapter application

• Pay the first year's dues fee ($45 society + $16 chapter + $10 one-time initiation fee = $71 total)

• Participate in the Initiation Ceremony
